The TELUS Health eClaims integration in WalnutEMR streamlines direct billing for eligible services. Follow these steps to set up and manage eClaims for your practice.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Set Up TELUS eClaims at the Branch Level
- Access Branch Settings
- Open the Branch app in WalnutEMR.
- Click on your Company Name to access and edit branch settings.
- Enable TELUS eClaims Billing Service
- Locate TELUS eClaims Billing in the list of billing services, and enable it.
- Log into your TELUS eClaims Provider Portal separately to access your eClaims account.
- Verify Banking Information in TELUS Provider Portal
- In the TELUS portal, go to the Banking Information section under the main menu to ensure your payment details are accurate.

- Complete Setup in WalnutEMR
- In WalnutEMR, select your Method of Payment for paid claims (e.g., direct deposit).
- If claims should be centrally submitted, check Submit all claims on behalf of the user registered for the organization.

- Add Location ID and Organization Provider ID
- In the TELUS portal, copy your Location ID and Organization Provider ID.
- Paste these values into the TELUS eClaims Billing section in WalnutEMR.
- Apply Changes and Save
- Click Apply to save the settings, then Save to confirm.

Step 2: Configure eClaims Credentials for Each Provider
Each provider using eClaims direct billing must have their individual eClaims credentials added to their WalnutEMR profile.
- Update Provider Profiles
- In the Branch app, go to Staff and select the provider needing eClaims setup.

- Add Provider TELUS eClaims Credentials
- Click Add eClaims Credentials.
- Enter the provider’s TELUS eClaims Provider ID and College Licensing Body.

- Add eClaims Login Credentials
- Click on Click to Add eClaims Credentials.
- Enter the TELUS eClaims Username and Password that the provider uses to log into the TELUS portal.

- Save Changes
- After adding credentials, click Save on the provider’s profile.

Once eClaims setup is complete, providers can submit claims directly through WalnutEMR, simplifying the billing process.
